The Wild Rockies Action Fund (WRAF) is devoted to protecting the integrity of the
Northern Rockies ecosystems and their biological diversity through legislative action.

Visionary legislation
Congress has made great strides in protecting a portion of the Northern Rockies, designating some areas as wilderness, and others as national parks. Still, more than 20 million acres of these unspoiled lands remain unprotected. To protect—and connect—these endangered lands, common citizens have joined with scientists and economists to develop the Northern Rockies Ecosystem Protection Act (NREPA). This visionary legislation combines science with sustainable economic development into a plan that has earned a diverse group of proponents.

Connecting the Pieces
NREPA heeds warnings from the scientific community: without preservation of core ecosystems and biological corridors in the Northern Rockies, long-term survival of the many unique wildlife populations in the region is hopeless.

The science behind NREPA
NREPA is guided by sound principles derived from the science of conservation biology and is based on a sound plan for sustainable economic development in the Northern Rockies region

NREPA enjoys bipartisan support
Co-sponsored by Republican Representative Christopher Shays and Democratic Representative Carolyn Maloney, NREPA enjoys support from both sides of the aisle, labor unions, economists, world-renowned scientists, and more than 700 organizations and businesses nationwide.

Speak up for Wildlands & Wildlife
Write letters, call your representative, collect pennies, use your imagination... NREPA is a citizen-originated initiative and it depends on citizen (that's you) involvement to succeed.
